From February 2–5, 2025, our team visited the prestigious ISM Cologne trade fair in Cologne – the world’s largest event for the confectionery and snack industry, organized by Koelnmesse. Every year, it attracts over 1,500 exhibitors and around 32,000 visitors from 135 countries.
What brought us to ISM?
- Extensive trend showcase – from production technologies, sweet and savory snacks, to innovative concepts such as “Sweet Week Talks & Tasting” and dedicated Halal and Trend Snacks sections
- Global innovations – numerous product premieres, including sour candy sheets, Dubai-made chocolates, and sweets with freeze-dried fruits, confirming that this industry is one of the most dynamic segments of the FMCG market
- High-level networking – hundreds of meetings with industry professionals, trendsetters, and suppliers in the confectionery sector
As visitors, we had the opportunity to:
- Explore the latest global trends in ingredient production – particularly collagen and functional additives.
- Draw inspiration from innovative products and packaging solutions.
- Gain valuable business contacts and a better understanding of international market demands.
